TCH3 Nation & Beyond the grave, the time is drawing near for our campout of fun & fear. HallowToberFest De Los Muertos #8 is happening on Saturday, October 21st at the Allapattah Flats WMA in Martin County. The TCH3 has secured permits at the camping area for both Friday, Oct 20th and Saturday, October 21st, so join us both nights.
This year's theme is Creepy Carnival. There will be games of chance and competition with hashy twists, including another opportunity to earn an Edward 40 Hands patch.
As the sun is sinking low over the trees & shrubs & flowers, the Carnival folk will show off their best/worst costumes for a chance at being the big winner. Creepy Carnies or Grotesque Midway Mutants, the choice is yours. Let your imaginations & creativity go wild.
Following the Costume Contest will be the Reverse Zombie Hash where the Zombie hares chase the intrepid hounds. The goal is to visit as many checkpoints along trail as possible, while avoiding being "bitten" and turned before the time, or your life, expires.
Hash Cash will be $25.00 and will include Camping, SWAG, Food, Beverages, Game Prizes and HallowToberFest De Los Muertos trail.
Location: Allapattah Flats WMA - Palm City - 14710-14338, Co Hwy 714, Palm City, FL 34990 (approx. 3.4 miles west of I-95)
Start times: Pre-lube & Costume Contest - 5:00sht, Hares/Zombies Away - 6:15sht, Hounds/Pack away - 6:30sht,
*(SHT = Standard Hash Time. The "ish" is always implied and times may not be exact)
*Carnival Games will begin earlier in the day, start time depending on how hung over we are.
*Edward 40 Hands will be on-going.
What to Bring & Wear: camping gear if camping, camp chair, hash attire, costume for contest & trail, shiggy shoes & socks, food that you want and maybe some snacks to share, vessel for beverages to help cut down on trash, a sense of adventure and a good attitude. The theme is Creep Carnival, not Creepy Hashers, leave that shit at home.
Who should cum: all hashers who enjoy - campouts, good times with great people, Halloween, October Fest, Dia De Los Muertos, unique trail in an equally unique location. This includes locals, visitors, returners, transplants and virgins.
How to get there: take I-95 to exit 110 (SR-714/Martin Hwy). Exit I-95 and travel West approximately 3.4 miles. Look for signs for the Allapatah Flats WMA and Equestrian Trail. You will turn right off of the road to enter the property. There will be a gate just past a parking area on the right. (the lock code will be provided the week of the event). Open and pull through the gate and follow the road through the cow pastures until you arrive at the next gate. Proceed through the gate and follow the road as it curves to the left. Continue until you arrive at the parking are by the camping area.
*Lock and/or close the gates behind you, even if they were unlocked or open when you arrived
*Drive slowly and cautiously, the road is narrow and has limited sight line, especially at night. There are cows that may be in the road, and they do not always move out of the way swiftly.
About the camping area: the camping area is a primitive/tent camping area with a few picnic tables and cooking fire pits, but not other amenities. RVs and gas generators are not allowed.
If you plan on camping, bring gear or reach out if you need to borrow gear.
We are required to pack out all trash. Keep this in mind for packing purposes. We try to burn as much trash as possible.
Bring a vessel, disposable cups will not be readily available.
The TCH3 will bring a chair toilet & privy tent. If you want to bring a camp shower, you will also need to bring the water.
The TCH3 will have some bug spray, but bring what works best for you.
The TCH3 will set up a galley/cooking area. You do not need to bring your own cooking equipment/stove.
Parking is limited at the camping area. We will do our best to get as many cars as possible near the site. Some may need to park at the front of the property.
We are looking forward to another fun & frightful HallowToberFest De Los Muertos Campout and having the wankers join in the ghoulish good times. Reach out if you have any questions or want to kelp in the planning and execution of this event.
